Cox Media Group has announced promotions for John Brennan and Jenna Kesneck within their Tampa cluster.
Brennan, who has spent his entire seventeen year career at the cluster, now rises to Operations Director while continuing to program Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT and Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL. He began his career on the promotions teach in 2004, rose to Executive Producer in 2008, Director of Programming for WHPT in 2014, and then added those duties at WXGL in 2019.
Kesneck, who currently serves as Director of Programming and Branding for Alternative “97X” WPOI-HD2 and “X106.5” WXXJ Ponte Vedra Beach/Jacksonville will now add those duties for Soft AC 105.5 WDUV. She has also spent her entire career with the cluster, where she started in Sales in 2011 as an Account Manager. She became Director of Marketing and Promotions for “97X” WSUN and CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI from 2014-2017, APD/MD of those two stations from 2017-2019 and added programming duties for WSUN in 2019 and WXXJ in 2021.
With the two promotions, Nate Reed exits as Director of Operations and PD of WDUV and AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM. Reed joined Cox Tampa in August 2019 after previously serving as Director of Marketing & Radio Operations for Cox Media Group in Tulsa. He has also served as SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia Toledo and programmed Townsquare Media Rhythmic CHR “Club 93.7” WRCL Flint MI.
The company, which had already been seeking a Director of Branding/Programming for WPOI to also serve as national Top 40 programming leader, will add oversight of WWRM to that position search.
